Happy New Year! Hope you’ve all had a good Christmas and are ready to return to Bootcamp!

Our first session will be ‘Pay As You Go’ (PAYG) on Friday 8th January 2016, at the reduced rate of £5. Bring a friend and you go free!

Bootcamp will then be every Monday and Friday and the occasional Wednesday, starting Monday 11th January 2016 until the end of term on Friday 12th February 2016 at 9.20am at Sports Park, Weetwood, Ring Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS16 5AU (near Weetwood Hall and The Stables Pub)

One session per week is only £3o, a saving of £12 on the PAYG price! Two sessions costs £55, saving you £15

“Whatever the weather, we’re in it together!” Come rain, wind or snow…. bootcamp will be on! We now have an under cover area at the Pavilion, Sports Park, Weetwood so wrap up warm, wear gloves and bring your water bottle!

Benefits of Outdoor Exercise:

1. You burn more calories when you exercise outside

Resistance from the wind when running or cycling outdoors means you often burn more calories than if you were indoors,” says Simon Cowen, Fitness First PT Ambassador. “And slopes and uneven ground make your body work harder as it has to respond to the unknown,” he adds.  As the body works harder to regulate its core temperature among the elements, you’ll burn a few more calories during your wintry workout compared to one conducted indoors. So, basically, doing nothing different but taking your workout outside makes it LOADS more effective.

2. Outdoor workouts are awesome for your mood

Numerous research shows a clear connection between spending time outdoors and a reduction in stress. Plus, fresh air and increased oxygen helps release the feel-good brain chemical, serotonin – meaning your outdoor training sessions not only help keep you fit and healthy, they put you in a fantastic mood too!

3. The people and the weather actually stops you getting bored!

The beauty of exercising outdoors is the space you’re in. Being outside in different weather conditions means you have a lot to look at! Exercising with other like minded ladies also creates friendships, so you can share life experiences and you’re less likely to get bored!

4. You can tone your whole body!

At Sports Park, Weetwood, we are exposed to hills and flat terrain. Hill running  is a great way of getting maximum results, particularly as running or for some, sprinting is one of the most effective ways to burn fat. Short, sharp bursts of movement at an incline will help push you to the limit while also building and toning muscle. If you are unable to run then walking with effort will also help you burn lots of calories! All the exercises can be adapted to suit any age, fitness or condition! In addition, we use weights and boxing to tone the whole body!
